BAC Lightning, a Rising U14 Girls NCSL team, is looking for players for the Fall 2020 season and beyond
The Lightning is an NCSL Division 1 side competing to earn Super Group status. We will be traveling to Northern Ireland for matches in the summer of 2022. We are a cohesive team that began play in September, 2015 as U9s. We play an attacking, Dutch football style with an emphasis on technical as well as tactical excellence. All players, to include keepers, play at least two positions, and have the freedom to exchange positions during a match. Our greatest roster need is a keeper.
Ed Apgar, the Head Coach, holds the United Soccer Coaches Premier Diploma and the United States Soccer Federation C license. Ed is currently an assistant coach for the Robinson Secondary School Girls Soccer team, and has coached every level of soccer from U9 through NCAA Division 1.
Doug McDonald, the Associate Head Coach, holds the United States Soccer Federation E license. Doug is a soccer trainer for the Fairfax County Park System and has extensive youth coach experience.
There is absolutely no training fee. Players must pay BAC registration, purchase their uniforms, and pay an annual team fee of approximately $305. The team fee covers the costs of such items as tournament registration, futsal registration, end of season parties, a $30 contribution to the BAC scholarship fund, and payment for referees covering non-league friendly matches.
Tryouts will be held:
Earning a Lightning roster position requires a strong player and family commitment to training attendance and player development. Please contact Coach Ed Apgar at firstname.lastname@example.org 703-250-3811 or Doug McDonald at email@example.com
